The idea for Myko sparked during my college days. Back then, I struggled with severe insomnia and anxiety, and my go-to solution was heavy coffee consumption. A naturopath suggested I switch to matcha for its lower caffeine content and jitter-free, sustained energy. She also introduced me to the incredible benefits of functional mushrooms for mental and physical health.
The change was remarkable—I felt incredible. However, the taste of the drink was a different story. Every mushroom-based drink I tried was either unpalatable or packed with artificial ingredients and loads of sugar.
This led to an epiphany: there needed to be a delicious, healthy mushroom matcha option. A drink that’s free from sugar, gluten, and dairy but still packed with all the good stuff. And thus, Myko was born.
